News: Valve's E3 surprise is Portal 2-related!

On Friday, we reported that the secret of Valve, which the company intends to reveal at E3 2010, is the development of Counter-Strike 2 on the new Source engine 2. However, this information is not confirmed, and it officially denied by Valve.

The news came after the developers announced that they cancel their Portal 2 demonstration and prepare some big surprise instead of it at the E3 expo exhibition in Los Angeles. Gaming community's considered, that the big surprise, is none other than Counter-Strike 2.

The rumour mill backed up by a screenshot allegedly captured from Valve's website in which it showed that the new installment of Counter-Strike would be released in June 2011. Valve immediately called this screenshot a lie and said that this is all speculation surrounding the surprise.

However, Valve has now quashed speculationa about its E3 surprise, saying it will be "***PORTAL-2-THEMED-FOR-GOD'S SAKE***".
The Portal 2 press event has been cancelled as Valve plans to release it in 2011, rather than this year, as initially announced.
